Spoke at iMorgon Grön

Claratalar

A few weeks ago I spoke at iMorgon Grön, a conference organized by the magazine Miljö & Utveckling every spring and fall. This spring’s theme was ”Sustainable business models ” and included the future reconnaissance, presentations of companies who are actively working for sustainability and workshops where participants had to think about sustainability themselves.

My role at the conference was that I gave a short presentation on the subject circular economy where I talked about how we’re working at DACA. Then I participated in a panel discussion with Michael Aastrup which is Nordic Manager Desso and Johan Sidenmark responsible for sustainable business development at COWI, where we discussed the circular economy and what trends we see in our everyday lives.

An interesting day with several pleasant acquaintances. I met Ellinor Eke who currently works as an environmental consultant at U&We who have previously been on the ASG (now DHL) and she told me that she, in the 90′s, did a study on wood pallets and PÖS. I’m starting increasingly to realize how little has happened in the market regarding pallets, both technically and economically .

A sustainable partnership

DACA

It is important to us to work with suppliers who prioritise sustainability and the environment. When we wanted to create a new graphic profile and website, we opted to work with the agency ‘Where is my pony’, which focusses on precisely these issues.

I sat down with them to kick around the benefits we could highlight to show our customers what values our product represents and what we stand for. Together we chose to focus on the environment, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Take a look at their website, where you can also read about us and our sustainable partnership.

Frida and Johan are writing their bachelors’ dissertation

FridaJohan

In the spring, Frida Nilsson and Johan Olsson will be writing their bachelors’ dissertations on our plastic pallets and comparing them with normal wooden EUR pallets. Frida and Johan are in the last year of the Logistics programme at Gothenburg University’s School of Business, Economics and Law.

We look forward to seeing what they come up with, and wish them luck.

Interview about our sustainable pallets in Miljö & Utveckling

Lastpall

In the last issue of ‘Miljö & Utveckling’ I was interviewed about our sustainable pallets and our business concept based on a more sustainable philosophy where pallets are concerned.

The article focusses on the environment and gives a description of our product. Among other things, it describes how our pallets are made from recyclable plastic and can be stacked 32 pallets high. The article also explains that our pallets are sustainable in the sense that they last longer (more trips), which in turn helps to conserve the environment.

It is great when people draw attention to an anonymous but vital product – and that sustainable thinking can be applied to pallets too.

Speaking at iMorgonGrön

iMorgonGrön

I had the honour to be invited to speak at ‘iMorgonGrön’ (‘A green tomorrow’), which is a conference focussing on environmental and sustainability issues in industry, business and the public sector. iMorgonGrön is aimed at people in positions of leadership and takes place on 9 April at the Metropol Palais in Stockholm. It is organised by the magazine ‘Miljö & Utveckling’. I look forward to sharing my views, and also hearing what other companies with the same approach to business are thinking.

Our plastic pallets are getting a new website

Plastpallar

A new year means fresh opportunities. We are starting the year with a new website, modern and fresh, just like our business concept and our plastic pallets. Here you can read about our business concept, which involves manufacturing and renting out pallets made from recyclable plastic. Send us an email or give us a call.
